IS420UCSCS2A Mark VIeS Safety Controller for Functional Safety Systems

The IS420UCSCS2A Safety Controller is a compact, stand-alone controller designed for Mark VIeS Functional Safety Systems. It executes application-specific safety control logic for Safety Instrumented System (SIS) applications and is used to implement functional safety loops capable of achieving SIL 2 and SIL 3 safety requirements. The controller is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, from small process control systems to large combined-cycle power plants.

The IS420UCSCS2A communicates with Mark VIe and Mark VIeS I/O packs through the onboard IONet interfaces and can be configured in Simplex, Dual, or Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) architectures. Its compact design eliminates the need for batteries, cooling fans, and hardware configuration jumpers, with all configuration performed through ToolboxST™ software. This architecture simplifies maintenance while supporting reliable long-term operation in safety-critical industrial environments.
